Wayne Rooney made a joke about Gary Neville at his first press conference as manager of Plymouth, The Independent reports.
Rooney said: "I don't want to be the next Galliniville (to become a TV commentator after retirement). I have a desire, passion and love for football. I have always been like this. I have done some TV commentary work in the past few months, but my real wish is to be a coach again."
Talking about his previous unsuccessful coaching experience in Birmingham and other teams, Rooney said: "No matter what job you do, you have to prove yourself. If you don't get good results, then there will obviously be consequences. This is what happened in Birmingham. I spent a lot of time reflecting on what happened in Birmingham. Things happened for a reason. Through reflection, I can grow. I will succeed in Plymouth. I firmly believe this."
