Reporter Ben Jacobs reports that Manchester City may still be interested in signing Newcastle midfielder Bruno Fernandes .

The reporter said: " The £100 million release clause in Bruno Guimaraes' contract has expired. Newcastle knows that the Brazilian international has settled in the club, but Manchester City may still make an offer."

Sugawara Yusei to join Southampton

Yusei Sugawara will move to the Premier League next season.

According to Dutch media, Japanese international Yu Sugawara, who currently plays for Alkmaar, is set to transfer to Southampton.

The media said: "After playing for Alkmaar for five seasons, 24-year-old Yu Sugawara will leave the team and join Southampton. The transfer has been completed and will be announced in the next few days. The player has signed a multi-year contract with Southampton."

Yusei Sugawara, who plays as a right back, played 42 games for Ekmaar last season, scoring 4 goals and providing 9 assists. His latest transfer value is 12 million euros.
